Hi all;

Newest version is integrate with the new RTE. New RTE is perfect. But I have got suggestions for the new Web Wiz Forum.

  1. Insert link is very nice but if it include ed2k:// links this will be better.
  2. New version must integrate attachment security
  3. New version must include Archive option on the admin panel. Old topics convert to html files and DB size must decrease. (may be v8.1 or later)
  4. New version must include advanced delete user option on the admin panel (batch delete option for users who no longer visit the forum)
  5. New changes must upgradeable for the 7.7a (same mdb file or very small db changes and must have a tutorial to explain)

My suggestions are these. My english grammar is not perfect. Sorry for this. Please make simple sentences. Thanks for all B.O.R.G...Clap

What is an ed2k:// link??

Coverting old posts to HTML files would be totaly impractical with 100's if not 1000's of HTML files, this is the reason why a database is used and not just place posts in HTML files from the start.

Most of the other suggestions can not be done for reasons I have already given in other posts so don't want to drag up old posts covring thses issues again.

ed2k is an eMule/eDonkey protocol. Some hosts block them and/or are not configured to handle them.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.

Hi again;

1. ed2k:// is edonkey network link. Most popular P2P programs (emule, edonkey, shreazza) can use this link. And many web wiz users create edonkey release forums for their members. This is example ed2k link : (you can delete this link if you dont like this. I give this example for the explain ed2k links)

ed2k://|file|Half-Life.2.PROPER-EMPORiO.rar|1571279115|C0558 226039FF893ED4E6DF6FD5B5954|/

I want to create a ed2k links for my forum. Currently I use 7.7a and this is possible. But v8 alpha dont give us this right. When you publish v8 many user send a post for this problem. Actually I can modify RTE code. Allready I modify 7.7a code because forum dont permit | or ( characters on the links.

I understand your reason for the my suggestion number 3 but  i son understand this sentence :

"so don't want to drag up old posts covring thses issues again."

I think my 1,2,4,5 suggestions can be done. Thank you for help. You dont misunderstanding me. I want to help to you for the better develop web wiz forum. Because I like web wiz forum. Thanks for answer and this free pruduct.

Note : For my suggestion 3 :

May be db can seperate. But this is very hard i know. Example 2004 year topics, 2005 year topics.. But user try search, results from all DBs. Forget this suggestion :) I forgot
