The following tools allow you to update your version 7.x Web Wiz Forums database to the new version 8 database.

Please Note:-
Use these upgrade tools at your own risk, and make sure you backup your database first.

Full version upgrade tools are now located on the Web Wiz Forums download page.

Please Note:-
If you have modified your version 7.x database yourself you may need to un-modify the database inorder for this update to work.

There isn't a tool to do this, but MS Access has an Upsize Tool for moving databases from Access to SQL Server.

It is a bit hit and miss, so you just have to try different ways of using the tool till you find one that works for you.

Hi Borg,
thanks for your wonderful work.

There is a little problem after converting Access DB from 7.92 to 8: e-mail address in profile view is shown:

myname%40mydomain%2Ecom

and not

myname@mydomain.com

I don't know if it is an issue about RC1 or conversion tool.

Thank you again for all.

Damiano

Hi VBScript, would you happen to have an access to SQL conversion script also?

Thanks in advance!
