Having a problem with people quoting quotes. They are appearing in the wrong div.

It seems to work ok with plain-text but when html gets introduced it comes out wrong.

The example im using is:

[ QUOTE=user2][ QUOTE=user1]1111
[/ QUOTE]

2222[/ QUOTE]
333

I've added spaces so it'll display properly. The first example works correctly if i past that code from notepad (with no html formatting). If i use a quote of someone who's got html in their post, it'll mis-form like its shown in example 2. Where the "222" text has formatting.

This has been reported a number of times and is being worked on.

The problem is that IE uses the DIV tag to force it to do single line spacing, this then courses issues with the quote and code blocks.

perhaps it would be usefull do make the quotes in a table and not in div tags?

I have looked through lots of different methods and spent weeks on this, so don't think that it's not being looked into.

At the moment tables are the best option, but they are not without their problems also.

I have tried stripping the extra div's in ASP (used in the present forum version) tried span tags, tables, and many other variations.
