10 Beta?

Trying to put a time on coding is very difficult as you never know what bugs and problems are going to come up and then have to be worked around. This is why companies like Microsoft are always totally out on when the next release will be.

Setting a deadline to have a version released by also has it's issues as it means that work not completed by this deadline won't make it into the final release.

The best thing to do is just follow the development blog which will hopefully give you an idea of how long it will be till it is released.

At present the new rating system is being worked on, after which will start developing the blogging tools. The blogging tools will take allot of development depending on what people want in them. It could be done with a basic blogging tool in a few days, but I imagine users are wanting something which as many generic features as possible, which takes time to develop.

I didn't want to open a new threat for this questions .. i hope you don't mind hijacking this topic :(

I have two questions/suggestions for v10 (i know the last thing you want seeing request posts but ..  :))

- Can you please consider adding time limited edit option. It would be handy if we could enable this option in admin and permit for example that posts older than a day or week can't be edited by regular members.

- an option to send server error info to the admin email (email address submitted in the admin section). I don't want that any visitor can see a detailed error on the page but i would also like to recieve an email when this has occured with as many detial as possible.
