8.04, SQL server, many errors

   I, when I tried to close some topics (only to or three in a big forum, I got one of this error messages): 

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005' 
[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

or

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005' 
Warning: Fatal error 644 occurred at Feb 4 2007 8:01PM 
/delete_topic.asp, line 220 

The strange thing is that I can delete a post from a subforum, and canot delete other in the same subforum....
And I got the first error only once I tried to use "batch delete topics".
