This is my setup ..

I have IIS 5.0 with SMTP and I have the forum running .. I am using Access Database for forum..

Please send me the details step -by- step guide for the configuring E-Mail posting on forum ...

I use them for sending Email out (CDOSYS) to mimnic the broadcast of aposted message ... but not for the POP checking ... as they aren'tappropriate for this.

  • Yes it can be done
  • Ive got it working, but you HAVE to use MsSQL Server because of its use of triggers and stored procedures
  • Yes it does use components, but so does WWF (eg SAFileUpetc.).  It uses JMail for the mail checking and a Windows Scriptfor collecting
  • Yes, it **may** require the scheduling of the Windows Script viaWindows Scheduler, but this can also be easily overcome if not possibleon a given host, eg Ive used the Global.asa for scheduling events, eventhe running of ASP pages.

Posting to the forum via email is not possible, as it can not be doneusing classic ASP without components beinmg installed on the webserver, so is not a feature of Web Wiz Forums.
