A quick search for your error on Google shows that this error usuallyoccurs when the SMTP server is incorrect. You need to get all the settings from your web host when using CDOSYS, including SMTP server that you are using.

Make sure all these settings are correct, if you still get the error,do a search of Microsofts MSDN site to findout what could be coursingthe mail component to throw up this error.

I talked to my hosting company and they told me that i got to use CDOSYS. I changed this in my email-settings, but i still got an error.

Hi, i have a new webhost and get error when I try to use the email notfication, i worked out fine before I moved my site.

Now I get this error when I try with CDONTS
