Author: Muskan
Subject: 10432
Posted: 14 May 2004 at 4:09am

I have just upgraded from version 6.3 to 7.8. The new froums are great except I have 2 problems.

1. In the The new forums, in 'Post reply' form and new post form, the options for Bold/italics/Underline/Hyperlink/Emoticons etc do not work like they used to in the old version. In the old version, on selecting a text and pressing bold button the whole text used to become bold. Now either a window pops up in which one has to type or the html tags are inserted in the form. It kills lot of fun in posting. How can I get the easier forms back. I see this site has these forms the way I want. Is there a mod available?

2. Whenever, I click on a hyperlink, which is supposed to 'pop-up' a window like admin button or name of a poster etc, I get following error -

A runtime error has occoured. Do u wish to debug? Line 0, Error - Object expected.

Here is the culprit error line

openWin('pop_up_profile.asp?PF=1334','profile','toolbar=0,lo cation=0,status=0,menubar=0,scrollbars=1,resizable=1,width=5 90,height=425')

I am not using any pop-up blocker. It worked finr on my local pc but is giving error when i uploaded everything on server. Please help.
