    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 10806<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 11&nbsp;June&nbsp;2004 at 1:25pm<br /><br />If the forum isn't showing an error message then this suggests theemail is being sent and the problem is with the SMTP server you areusing.<br><br>Check with the people who supply your SMTP server as to any security settings they use.<br><br>Many companies who supply SMTP servers will not relay on emails unlessthe 'to' or the 'from' email address is from a local domain they supply.<br><br>The JMail form on your site may work as it is sending to a local emailaddress they have given or a domain they have given, whereas the forummaybe trying to send 'to' or 'from' an email address that they haveblocked so the email is failing to arrive.<br>]]>

For example by default the Windows XP SMTP server may not allow foriegn domains, so if the sender is <A href="mailto:user@yourdomain.com" target="_blank">user@yourdomain.com</A> it is not recognized as the mail server only allows <A href="mailto:*@localhost" target="_blank">*@localhost</A> another problem maybe a firewall, that the port is not open. Check your smtp send direcory under inetpub, your emails are probably all still in there not having been sent.]]>
