FYI The path was correct as you stated, but the file that has the verbage is language_file_inc.asp not the default.asp.  Again many thanks for your assistance!

to change the content of the email sent when registration is complete,you need to edit a the default.asp file found in the language_filesfolder.

look for the lines that say the content of the email and then change the content, save the file and upload to the web server.
