HTTP is a stateless protocol so detecting if a user is connected or not is never going to be 100% accurate.

The active users list is just a approximate amount going by the IP addresses of the users to try and track the users.

If users use the same IP address then the users can not be accuratlytracked, also if the users IP address changes, again they can not beaccuratly tracked.

I'm afraid that unless the whole way HTTP works is changed then this is just something you will have to live with.

i post a message about this problem before but i couldnt solve my problem.i am using webwiz forums 7.7a(licensed).At the end of forum there ara active users as

3 guest 5 members and names:

a,b,c   you see that although there are 3 users it says there are 5 users on forum.and also sometimes it doesnt show some active users.for example my users say that i can not see my name on this list although i could see yesterday.i mean that they dont make their status secret but their names dosnt seem on active users list.

if i upgrade to webwiz 8.0.1 or 7.8 will this problem be correct?i changed a lot of properties of forum(espacially colours) will these be changed again to default.which files will i change?
