    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 11170<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 14&nbsp;July&nbsp;2004 at 5:50am<br /><br />Passwords are 160bit encrypted and other accounts can not edit the mainadmin account (this is probally why you have the permissions error whentrying to edit this account).<br><br>This is why it does warn you NOT to loose the password to the main admin account or you will be in trouble!!!!<br><br>Your only solution is to edit the database directly.<br><ol>  <li>Create a new user that you know the password of.</li>  <li>Open the tblAuther table in the database</li>  <li>Find the new account you have created</li>  <li>Copy and paste the values for the fields 'Password' and 'Salt' tothe same fileds found in the main admin account (main admin account isposition 1)</li>  <li>You should then be able to log into the main admin account using the new password you created</li></ol><br>]]>
