The only other thing to do (if you need all 34 forums) is attempt to optimize the default.asp code to reduce the number of calls.

With a join you can combine the Category and Forum calls to reduce it to one call rather than one call per category. Additionally, if you passed the userID you could join the user and group permissions to that view and get rid of the 2 calls per forum for forum permissions.

34 forums is allot and as each forum requires around 4 hits to thedatabase it means that the page is having to make weill over 200database calls.

Try reducing the number of forums that you have.

I  installed this forum with about 34 forum  yest its many forum but i am using SQL 2000 my web server is very fast but the loading of the first page is very slow .

what I should to do
