i take it you are talking about the forum SQL version V7.9

if your computer is not the server then you should be able to set theconnection details in the SQL_connection_setting.asp (something likethat) in the admin folder.

to the server, as the database is connected on the server not your computer.

so if you access the server through http ad access the MS_SQL_Server_setup.asp file .

 make sure the connection details are correct and click set up. itwill then go to the server and set up the database. its not done onyour computer.
