That would be a solution.&nbsp; I would like to know more about the SQL option.&nbsp; Since I have an Access 2000 version running, what would it take to convert? The reduction in db size should keep forum running faster.&nbsp; At lease, that is the assumption I going by.</P><P>Doing a "Batch Close" and "Batch Move" doesn't reduce db size does it?</P><P>Dale</P>]]>

I have a forum setup with admin-only access and hidden fromeveryone else. When I get ready to "archive", I just batch them over.<br><br>Of course, if I want a post to remain in it's original location, I makesure and manually "sticky" or "announce" it. When I batch I simply moveall the normal posts.<br>]]>

It would be great if in the Topic Admin to check a box that would create a html file with topic name and all data. This file would be save in a Archive Topics Directory which would have a main search able archive page.</P><P>Wow, that a lot to ask for... plus, the topic would be automatically closed.&nbsp; Manual deletion of the topic could be preformed after a check to make sure the file was converted properly.</P><P>Right now I manual closing the topic, using the&nbsp; print topic function to create the html file, saving the file, edit file to add a description, and post this file to a directory.&nbsp; I'm using a search feature that will search the files.&nbsp; Anybody have any ideas or have seen any features like this?</P><P>This is what I have so far (test area)</P><P><A href="http://www.mbd2.com/forum/archieves/Topic/site_search.asp" target="_blank">http://www.mbd2.com/forum/archieves/Topic/site_search.asp</A></P><P>Dale</P><P>&nbsp;</P>]]>
