Thanks dj air. I just downloaded the dynamic_avatar_list and that fixed my problem with new avatars. When I stated about users being able to upload their own avatars I was mistaken. I want to get ride of the box that allows users to link in their own images. I think I found the code in the register.asp file, but when I delete that the edit profile page gets screwed up. How can I disable users from being able to bring in their own avarats via the web?

to add your own you need to edit the avatar file in the includes file.

regarding uploading, you should only have to disable oin the forum configuration page.

also make sure the updating happen . check to see if it changes

I just setup a brand new form Web Wiz forum using a MS SQL database. I am having 2 problems with avatars. First I disabled avatar uploading, but users are still able to upload, and the upload box shows up in their profile. Also I deleted all of the avatars that came with, and I uploaded my own. Why does it still show the old avatars and not my new ones? I want to setup my forums so users can't upload their own, and can only use my custom avatars.
