    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 13314<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 12&nbsp;January&nbsp;2005 at 6:26am<br /><br />Maybe not in your case, but forums do require allot of server resources and Access does course allot of problems.<br><br>If you want your forum to grow you are better off starting with MS SQL Server from the start.<br><br>It would get ride of problems like you are having as the MS SQL Serveris not a falt file like access so the whole thing doesn't need to beloaded into memory each time someone comes to your forum. <br><br>The MS SQL Server is also usually located on a sepporate server to the web server.<br><br>Access was designed as a simple flat file desktop database system witha limited number of connections and a limited maximum size.<br><br>MS SQL Server, on the over hand, was designed for large corpartiondatabasse that can be many 1,000's of gig in size with an almostunlimited number of connections to the database at the same time.<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 13314<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 12&nbsp;January&nbsp;2005 at 6:01am<br /><br />This is a server error and means that the server is overloaded and has run out of resources.<br><br>It is often coursed by the web server running out of memory or when theserver runs out of access database connections from it's limitedconnection pool.<br><br>Each server only has a limited amount of database connections in it'spool available for all sites on the server (most hosts have around 20to share with all sites on the server).<br><br>If you get this message often it is usually a sign that the server isoverloaded or some sites on the server are using bad programming thatdon't release the database connection back to the connection pool oncethey have finished using them.<br><br>Access database do course allot of problems due to the high amount ofresources&nbsp; it requires from the web server due to it being a flatfile database system, so if possible you should use MS SQL Serverinstead to prevent errors like you mention. <br><br>The problem often clears after a while when the server frees up server resources.<br><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by -boRg- - 12&nbsp;January&nbsp;2005 at 6:03am</span>]]>
