    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=19090">WireWolf</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 13465<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 22&nbsp;January&nbsp;2005 at 9:03am<br /><br />Thx boRg.&nbsp; You are correct in your insite; I use to use phpBB on my other hosting site and it had that option.&nbsp; I just assumed that the email option on this one performed the same way; wrong!.&nbsp; I have searched for a mod and I found an interesting alternative; to have the email sent to me via the request.asp page and not the user.&nbsp; I know very little about asp, but was able to change the necessary files and it worked at least one time for me! <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Thanks for the great application and the wonderful support!&nbsp; I apologize for not realizing the purpose of the email option before I started bothering you guys!</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Thx!</DIV>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 13465<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 22&nbsp;January&nbsp;2005 at 6:46am<br /><br />Email activation is sent intently and is to check the email address given is real.<br><br>I think what you are looking for is an admin approval feature, which the current version does not have.<br><br>Have a look in the mods and add-ons forum to see if someone has written a mod that will do this.<br><br>Another option is to have the starting group as one that doesn't havepost permissions in the forum, then manually move any new members to a member group that does have permission to post.<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=19090">WireWolf</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 13465<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 22&nbsp;January&nbsp;2005 at 1:17am<br /><br /><P>(Using version 7.9).&nbsp; I've enabled email authentication for registration.&nbsp; It worked fine when I tested it but did not require other users to receive an activation email from me (admin).&nbsp; As I looked further, it appeared that as long as I was testing, I was using email accounts that reside on the local (webhosting) server.&nbsp; Users that register outside of my hosting domain still receive an email from the system, but they get it as soon as they register; I don't have to approve it.&nbsp; Anyone have an idea what I can check to validate this or stop it?&nbsp; My only choice is to suspend registration and do it manually until I resolve my issue.&nbsp; All help appreciated.</P><DIV>Thx,</DIV>]]>
