either

1. a moderator deleted it
2. you deleted it
3. you did a batch delete
4. you restored to a backup
   
5. or your service provider restored to a back up

those are the ideas that may have happened.

sorry... in this case, a whole thread has definitely completelyvanished... could it be a glitch, or would it have had to have beendeleted?

Usually when people come and say this it is because the drop down listat the top of the page displaying the topics is only set to show topicsthat are posted in, within the last month.

The default can be changed in the admin area on the page you put in the forum description, name, etc.
