changing hosts/servers shouldn't make any difference to logging in. Thepasswords are not dependant on anything on the server. or IP

has the host set something on the server that is not allowing the cookies to be set.

one thing that can course problems is chat rooms.

Hello all,

Hope someone can help.  I recently had my forum moved to adifferent server. I am using MS SQL 2000 (no changes with move) and theusernames and passwords are encrypted.  The problem is that sincemoving the forum files to a different server no one can get access tothe forum.  They can login and it says successful login but whenyou are sent back to the topics page all the private forums are stillinaccessible and it doesn't show as logged in at the top.

Does anyone know if the user id and password encryption is tied intothe servers ip somehow or why it would stop working just because theforum site files where moved to another server?
