    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 13580<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 01&nbsp;February&nbsp;2005 at 4:18am<br /><br />Access only has a limited number of connections when using ASP and ADO.<br><br>Generally web servers have an application pool for Access database of20 concurrent connections at once shared across the entire server forall sites.<br><br>Although each connection is only open for milli seconds, with a largenumber of active users and other sites also on the same server you aregoing to quickly use up all the connections available in the serversconnection pool.<br><br>If you have a busy and large forum like your own the only solution isto use MS SQL Server as the database backend, which doesn't have theselimitations.<br>]]>
