If you are talking about a tree type view, I think someone made a mod to do this already.

you could modify the code so that forum_posts.asp becomes default.asp,and set the topicID value at the top of the page, not through aquerystring.


but note there would be a lot of changes regarding the post_message.asp file and some others to go to the forum_posts.asp

but that would be the best looking way you want.

The only way I can think ofdoing it is to create one forum and only allow registered members toreply (not post new threads). Then you just start a topic and inviteothers to post.

However, I can't see many people wanting to register just to post in aguestbook style forum, unless you have other forums open to them.

Is there any way I can have the Forum in effect appear like a single thread guestbook? I.e., a single topic with all posts be displayed.
 
I would like to have a single thread appearance while taking advantage of users having to register.
