iot means they can only delete there own posts.

if they have forum moderator permissions they are able to delete all , i think thats right.

V8 is having better understandable forum permssions system, as they are quite hard to get your head around.

I have a question about the permissions setting for the forums, and am hoping someone can clear my head here...

Each of the forums one creates allows for permission to delete and editposts to be assigned to various user groups; these can also be assignedper group, overriding the general settings.

My question is this:  If my general settings for Forum X say that'Registered Users' have permission to delete...does that mean they havepermission to delete just their own posts, or does that mean that they have permission to delete any post on that forum?

I can't think of a simpler way to ask this; I hope that my question is clear.
