I had created a second instance for the SQL database to keep it separate from the other databases. 
Name of the SQL Server = server\instance
 
Now on to customizing.  Everything looks great now.  I'm also going to try out the Guestbook.  Tongue

Error Connecting to database on SQL Server

Check the following is set up and correct:-

SQL Server User Name
SQL Server Password
Name of the SQL Server
Database name set up by you on the server
Empty Database set up by you on the SQL Server

Check also that you have entered the correct details in the file 'SQL_server_connection.asp' found in the admin directory.

I've read the documentation, searched the forum, double-checked the details in the file, used an IP address, used (local), used localhost, used different users, changed to Mixed Mode.  What have I missed?
 
Win 2003 running SQL 2000 and IIS.
