    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 14864<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 28&nbsp;April&nbsp;2005 at 4:21am<br /><br />The page extension wouldn't matter to the a search engine or a web browser.<br><br>You can alter a web server to process .html pages as .asp pages or .phppages, which it looks like the site you mention has done.<br><br>Many sites change the web servers setting so that .html, or any otherextension is processed as an .asp page so that hackers have a slightlyharder time as they can not instantly tell what type of serverprocessing is going on.<br><br>If you have access to your web server you could change it to process.html pages as .asp pages, you could then change all the pageextensions in web wiz forums to .html extensions.<br>]]>
