    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 15000<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 10&nbsp;May&nbsp;2005 at 4:24am<br /><br />The first thing to do is forget how permissions work in windows as they have no or little similarity.<br><br>When setting up a forum you can set permissions for things like,posting, replying, editing posts, etc. in forums for either, everyone,registered users, or just the admin.<br><br>These generic forum permissions that you create can be overridden bysetting permissions on that forum for individual groups, via the grouppermissions system.<br><br>At the top of them all is individual member permissions, these&nbsp;can be set for individual members on forums and override allother&nbsp; permissions on that forum. <br>]]>
