Oh, okay.  Makes sense and could be useful.  Just caught me off-guard since other forums disable all of them in that situation. [code] and [quote] are usually something you still want to use except when you are trying to tell someone how to use the [code] and [quote] tags. Big smile

With forum codes disabled boxes like 'quote' and 'code' do still get processed and rendered. This was done by design.

The checkbox at the bottom:

doesn't seem to work properly.  For example, when unchecked, it still tries to process the 
 tags.
 
This post was posted with the checkbox unmarked, and you get the results as seen.
