You need to first follow the forum guidelines and install instructionsand turn off friendly HTTP errors in IE. This will then give you anaccurate error message to use to find out what the problem is.

The software is only for windows web servers. Windows web server do notallow you to change permissions using CHMOD. If permissions need to bechanged you need to request this from your web hosts. Again this isexplained in more detail in the install instructions and only needs tobe applied to the access version to the folder containing the accessdatabase.

I tried to install a forum on a subdomain (www.sub.domain.com/forum). When I visit www.sub.domain.com/forum/index.asp , I see an error (first CDate; later HTTP 500).
Do I have to CHMOD any file(s) or directories?
