Thanks... I'm using v7.92 manual (but with WinMerge it's a good upgrade.) I kinda thought that was the issue. I'll be patient.
 
Interesting note... it seems to only affect the first post in the thread. Most interesting.

are you using V7.92 offical or manal upgrade (ie just the file)

either way, you wont be able to edit posts in the latest version ,there is a hack  that can use the post_message.asp file to editpeoples posts, and for a quick block on the hole editing opf posts hasbeen disabled unless you are the user i believe.

not sure on the last part.

ive given boRg a suggestion for the hole , but has not implimented it as yet maybe because of time to do so.

This is really strange... user one who is a member of group 1 automatically can no longer edit posts. (I'm thinking it is due to one of the recent updates to the posts page)
 
I've gone in a rechecked the group permissions and even the database tables and I cannot see what's going on. I've been doing allot of traveling lately so I'm wondering if I missed an update that addresses this issue. (If it's in the forum already I'm sorry. I searched with little success.)
