This sounds like a bug in the MDAC.  But, if I assume the asp is unchanged from a fresh 7.92 install, line 112 says, ".Fields("Group_ID") = intUserGroupID".  Is that correct?
 
dj air, you said that the "primary key / increment" is working.  In my SQL test install, there is no primary key or increment on the tblPermissions table.  That could expose the MDAC flaw.

I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem, please?
 
I've recently converted from MS Access to MS SQL, with the help of dj air, but I've hit a problem when modifying group permissions;
 
 
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e21'

Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.

/forum/admin/create_group_permissions.asp, line 112

 
This occurs when I go to group permissions, and add any permissions to the moderator group (and maybe other groups too).
 
Could someone give me some info on how I can sort this problem out please, as I'm currently moderator-less Ouch
