This isn't really an issue with the code within web wiz forums, but more an issue you need to take up with your web hosts.

You web hosts in only allowing 15 emials through it's mail server iscoursing the email component to throw an exceoption, thus crashing yourforum.

The perminent solution to this is ask your web host to alter the policy for your site, or find a better web host.

is there are change in code for say email notification file so that i can limit email replies for a topic, say to 10
and well while copying db tables DTS made duplicate tables in database thats why it was acting in such way, thanks to sdf19 and you -boRg- got out of the problem :) and menually deleted the nitifications so no errors now..but really am looking forward to a permanent solution

As to your cursor error, it suggests that your import from SQL to Access is wrong and you have a corrupted database.

The anwser to your original question as to why you get an error when posting is anwsered in your last post.

Your web host has set a limit of 15 emails to be sent, when you post inyour long topic it is trying to send more than 15 email notificationsand the SMTP server is rejecting some of the emails coursing the forumto crash.

The only solutions to this are:-
  1. Change web host to one that allows you to send more than 15 emails
  2. Turn off email notification
  3. Manually delete email notifications for users on long posts so that less emails are sent

We limit our server to send no more then 15 mails per SMTP connection. Also to ensure that all mails are delivered and not cause any SMTP issues, they should be sent at off hours (night) and at a maximum rate of 200 per hour.
what do u think of it?

hi im having this problem
i was importing data to access from my ms sql db, my net connection disconnected and since then these are the problems im facing so are the most of users
1-cant log in, i enter my uname and pwd it takes me to the log in successful page but when redirected to default.asp im still logged out and as a guest seeing quick log in boxes
 
2-i go to admin panel directly admin/default.asp and click on these options and get these errors
 
i-updating forum configuration produces this error

ok this is really getting out of hands now
 
in admin now i try to change the email notify to off it doesnt do it and gives the error i posted in the above post...and after that now when i log out and try to logback in...by a user or admin account it doesnt let me...it accepts the username and password, takes me to the login test page and then when it redirects to main forum page default.asp im not logged in there...just the quick login screen..and ive asked my other users they are having the same problem....
 
and yeah i was having a database import from mssql to msaccess when the connection to internet broke :S does this has anything to do with this bash? ??? ? ? ?
