    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=20182">willsand</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 16885<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 14&nbsp;October&nbsp;2005 at 1:07pm<br /><br />Greetings!<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>I too am having the same issues.&nbsp; As a general comment it appears that you have entered the information correcly.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>However, the line, <strong>strSQLServerName = "216.153.93.6" 'Holds the name of the SQL Server</strong> may not be valid since it needs to refer to the NetBIOS name of the server.&nbsp; I am not sure that an IP Address will work.&nbsp; &nbsp;For example, when I installed my operating systems (Windows 2003 server) I was given the option to give my computer a name.&nbsp; I named it "MAIN".&nbsp; If you are having yourforum hosted, I think you will need to know the server name provded by you ISP host.&nbsp; You may need to ask them this.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>The other issues seem related to the SQL server.&nbsp; The "administrator" and password, "letmein" seem like they should work but do not -- at least in my case.&nbsp; I had to use the "sa" account from when I set up the SQL Server.&nbsp; Otherwise, the following occurs when I run the msSQL_server_setup.ASP file via the browser:</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV><FONT color=#0000ff><FONT size=2><strong>Error Connecting to database on SQL Server<BR><BR></strong>Check the following is set up and correct:- <BR><BR>SQL Server User Name<BR>SQL Server Password<BR>Name of the SQL Server<BR>Database name set up by you on the server<BR>Empty Database set up by you on the SQL Server<BR><BR>Check also that you have entered the correct details in the file 'SQL_server_connection.asp' found in the admin directory.</FONT></FONT></DIV><P><FONT color=#000000 size=2>So, once i got the ASP file to run and create the database tables, I now have an issue in getting logged into the Forum so that I can do the administration I need for users etc.</FONT></P><P><FONT color=#0000ff><FONT color=#000033></FONT>&nbsp;</P><DIV><BR><BR></DIV></FONT><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV><BR>&nbsp;</DIV>]]>
