I ran into a similar problem at work, Im the webmaster there. Either you force the browser to use one or the other with a check at the top of everypage which redirects the user or tell your users to drop the www. (or add it) depending on where the cookie was originally put.

On my website the problem was that the cookies would simply not be there if you were on the wrong domain, but on the webwiz forums it seems it's writing the cookie, but to the wrong place(?) Perhaps the ASP code isn't looking at the www part?

Hope that helps

However I have one member that is using an army computer in Iraq and I am assuming that he is using it as a guest and does not have admin rights to delete these files.

I even had him try and create a new screen name just for testing. He was able to register a new screen name with no problems but when he tried to login it gave him the same response.

I guess I will see if he can try a different browser to see if that might work.

I appreciate any and all help.

Thanks

So i took the opportunity to rebuild it and decided to go back with Server 2000. All seemed to go well. I had a complete backup of my entire site on another computer in my home. So basically I moved a copy of the site (forum and all) to the new server. Now it seems that some of my members (when logging in) are having problems. Seems that when they login they get a "Successful Login" screen, but when the page refreshes to the default page, they are not logged in.

I know this is some kind of "Cookie" problem and clearing the cookies from internet options seems to work for most, but I have a few members that this "Quick Fix" has not worked at all. It seems that this problem is not browser specific in that it has happened using IE and Netscape as well (not sure about Mozilla yet)...

So with all this said...Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this issue???

Any help would be great....

Thanks...
