    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 17216<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 16&nbsp;November&nbsp;2005 at 7:15am<br /><br />Now I remember this from many years ago.<br><br>Back with version 6 Web Wiz Forums did use allot of server resources,as it created a new recordset object for every database query, andonly had an MS Access version as a result Aruba decided that it was nogood for it's servers.<br><br>Anyway, since then about 2 years ago now, Web Wiz Forums version 7 cameout with a complete re-write of the forum engine and as such nowincrease performance and uses less server resources.<br><br>Also there is now an SQL server version, as Access is a flat file many hosts don't like it.<br><br>Maybe you ought to ask Aruba to re-look at Web Wiz Forums and updateit's policy, allowing at the very least the SQL Server version on it's servers.<br><br>If not then I'd look for a new host as by going by the list, Arubadon't allow any type of application/scripting on their severs above abasic email form. This then usually indicates a bad host as they aretrying to lessen the load of their servers, so they can cram more siteson them.<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 17216<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 11&nbsp;November&nbsp;2005 at 4:52am<br /><br />I've never heard of Aruba and I am discusted at their attitude and would recommend that you change host immediately.<br><br>Web Wiz Forums is used on many large hacking sites as it is regarded as one of the most secure forum packages you can get.<br><br>Compared with other forums only a handful of vounerabilities have beenfound in Web Wiz Forums, and none that would be a security hole to theserver so wouldn't be a problem for web hosts.<br><br>Any vounerabilities that have been found have been fixed and a newversion released with 12 hours of being reported. This is much fasterthen any other software.<br><br>As long as you follow the install intructions on securing your Accessdatabase and have the latest version installed then you will not haveany problems.<br><br>Also, did Aruba, tell you what file and what the issue is?]]>
