With the Access version, make a backup of your Access database, then just replace all the ASP files.

If you have moved your database to a secure location (as you shouldhave done) then you will need to edit the common.asp files to put backin the location of the database.

Using the access version to do the same thing, do I just (after backup) copy up the asp files? The only alterations I would then have to make would be in common.asp would they? Or is it just as easy and effective to copy all the files except common.asp ?

Make a backup of your present forum, then update the ASP files.

You may need to put back in your SQL server connection details after the update if you overwrite this file.
