2Mb is the default IIS restriction for file transfers using http protocol. Most upload components also use that as either their default or their max.

The reason is server performance. Http is a lousy file transfer protocol. Ftp was designed for transfering files with a lot less impact upon servers.

If you must allow uploading files greater than 2Mb, you should be looking at an ftp-based file management app.

I purchased WebWiz version 7.01 and I'm facing a very disturbing problem.

 

Does anyone know how to increase the limitation on upload file size above 2 MB?

I changed the "upload_files_size" field at "tblConfiguration" table in the SQL database, but it didn't help.
