Looks like you missed one of the most mentioned items in this forum and in the documentation.

You forgot to turn off friendly HTTP errors in IE.

If you had you get the following error when logging in on your forum:-

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e09'

Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

/forum/login_user.asp, line 171


This means that you do not have permission to write to the database.

Permissionsrequire that they are changed directly on the server, contact your webhost to have the permissions changed, or see the following page if yourun the server yourself:-

I have read everything I possibly can. Searched forums and i come up empty handed. I have also deleted and uploaded the Web Wiz forum files a few times.
 
Everytime I try to log on, after click on "Forum Login" button, I get page cannot be displayed.
 
I cannot log on to the forum using the default admin info:
Administrator/letmein
 
I have tried coping and pasting the new salt and password from new/different Access file.

I'm using Web Wiz forum v7.96
 
any help will be appreciated.. I been trying to resolve this for weeks.
