Okay I found the solution to this problem.

If the database directory is not the same in the common.asp in the forum folder and the forum/admin folder you will get the admin no access error described here.

I was not aware there was 2 common files. Quick fix and I learned a lot.

Any final thoughts on this problem? I updated the forum. Set up a new one..then decided to go back to my old database. Doing this created the problem. I tried to go back to the new database and I still have the problem. I re-uploaded ALL files and still the same. No admin page permissions. Thanks!

I'm getting this problem too.. I can see the Admin graphic..(top right)and when i click on it, it says Insuffecint permissions.. I dont knowwhat to do.. I downloaded the forum db... and My Account has GroupID of1

I know they are coming from the correct registration page.

And cookies have been enbaled.

So I'm guessing it would have to be the session ID problem. How would I fix this problem? The server is running asp and coldfusion would that be part of the problem?
