I think that we can forget this problem. WWF is always my favorite forum software. And you did a great job with this new version.

It seems that populating the database has cleared the problem up, but even a 0.4 processing time is less than half a second so is still an improvement over the old version and puts allot of other forum systems to shame.

A 0.016 time is increadable, and is a better process time than the index page on this site which is 0.063, but it is running on MSDE with further memory restictions and the rest of this site sharing the same database.

Also I often find with SQL Server the first time you use a database on the server after setting it up or a reboot, it takes time for the SQL Server to load the database into it's memory and get going.

That was the first time after I have just installed the forum (no forum, no post) but I forgot to check the process time then.
After creating 1 category, 2 forums and 2 sub forums (without any thread), it still low but showed "0.414 seconds".  That problem happened when I was using IE 6, but it wasn't happened when I was using FireFox.
Then I tried to make a new thread, then opened the index page again, it showed "0.016 seconds". The problem seems not happening again now when I trying to open and open that index page in another windows
I'm using SQL version with SQL Server 2000 under Win 2003 server.

The forums index page should load in under 0.05 seconds. What is the process time at the bottom of the page showing?

The first time the forums index loads it should do it in 5 queries after that it should be just 2 or 3 queries no matter how many forums or sub forums you have.

Also could you check again once you setup forums and if it continues could you please let me know:-

What database version your are using?
What type of forum setup do you have? (how many forums, sub forums, etc.)

I have just installed the beta 1 version of WWF8. 

Everything seem running fine for me, except one thing that the first default page is slowly opening after the header is loaded, I was opening login page in another browser window, then go to Admin section, returned to the first default page, and saw it finished loading after 2 or 3 seconds later.
 
Except that, all other pages are running very fast and the admin section looks so cool. I'm really interested in using the new version.
