Everything else seems to be working now, but I can't find anything on this issue in the forums.  Both avatars and images are being correctly uploaded to the uploads folder under a folder created with the user name.  The images are really there, and viewable through the FTP client.  They just don't show up in the placeholders in WebWiz.

 

Any suggestions or ideas?  Thanks...

 

btw - I also found a post explaining why the avatars I uploaded to the avatars folder don't show up.  I have to add them manually to the select_avatar.asp.  Before I write something to do this automatically I just wondered if there was something already out there.  Kind of a pain to do this with a couple hundred avatars.  I'm using version 7.96.  Thanks again...

 

 

Edit:  8 hours later and I think I've figured out why the pictures weren't showing up.  They seem to show up fine when I create a folder called "ul" under the forums folder and set that as the upload folder, but using the default "uploads" folder under forums they don't.  Thought at first it was a path-too-long issue, but that wasn't it.  Don't know what the real problem is, but I guess this is a workaround.  Anyway, they're working this way.  Still would like to see an easier way to upload avatars, though...
