Author: nexus
Subject: 18204
Posted: 31 January 2006 at 12:48am

Not sure where to put this, but I'll try here :D

I remember some time ago you were talking about making a .NET version of the forum software, but you said you would wait until v.2.0 of the framework was released, and version 8 of WWF. You also said you were in the process (if I recall this right :D) of learning yourself .NET (which is a must if we want to have something made in .NET :P)

Now, my question is, as you may have guessed, how the plans are for a upcoming .NET version of the software?

I'm fully aware that you have more than enought to do on developing WWF 8, maintaining all the other great free products of yours, doing a normal job in the real world to earn cash and also having a real life with friends etc

*LOL* ;) But anyway: Are we likely to see such a version made by you in some "near" (everything between 1 till 2 years from now) future?

We could really need some good .NET forums out there, and I think there are many benefits and things that you would gain on when, and IF, you were going to make such an version, compared to the ASP version. Besides, .NET is the future, classic ASP won't live for that many more years I believe (event though it's still a common used programming language).

Only good .NET forum software at the moment that I know of is made by www.instantasp.co.uk (and they still have A LOT to do before they can compete with this charming and GREAT piece of forum software :D)

Keep up the good work man! You're doing a great job and we all appreciate it SO much! We really do!

Cheers from Norway :)
Kristoffer
