    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 18379<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 14&nbsp;February&nbsp;2006 at 11:44am<br /><br />It sounds like an email issue coursed by a delay in connecting to the SMTP server to send email notifications.<br><br>To test if this is the case try disabling the email tools from the admin area and see if that clears the problem up.<br><br>If it does try to use a 'localhost' SMTP server, if possible as this would speed up the time taken to connect to the SMTP server.<br>]]>

Often it ends in either a white screen, or a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" error. Even with friendly messages turned off, there is no reason given.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>The post/reply does successfully get created, but I noticed that the topic count does not go up at all.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Is this a common occurrence?</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>All other aspects of the forum are working perfectly.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Thanks in advance,</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Steve</DIV>]]>
