Author: Brolin99
Subject: 18425
Posted: 18 February 2006 at 7:16am

Hi there,

I have recently migrated my forums from one database to another. Everything is working perfectly, except when trying to add new topics. I have checked that the settings on the database tables are the same (i.e. what tables are identity and nulls etc.) but get this message (when trying to post with a poll):

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft>[ODBC SQL Server Driver>[SQL Server>Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'Votes', table 'sportsfreak-forum.dbo.tblForumPollChoice'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.

/forum/post-message.asp, line 527

And this one with no poll:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft>[ODBC SQL Server Driver>[SQL Server>Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'Locked', table 'sportsfreak-forum.dbo.tblForumTopic'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.

/forum/post-message.asp, line 578

Please help!!
