    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 18588<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 04&nbsp;March&nbsp;2006 at 12:54pm<br /><br />This happens in IE because the RTE uses the RTE API built into the web browser.<br><br>For some, annoying reason, Microsoft decided with their RTE API that carridge returns would course double line spacing.<br><br>You can over come this by using javascript to lisen for the Enter key being pressed and then intercepting the default function by forcing a &lt;div&gt; instead, but is is very complex to do.<br><br>Version 8 will have this, so probably best waiting for version 8 to be released within the next few months.<br>]]>

Why does it enter a black line when you hot enter instead of just doing carriage return? Is there a way i can fix that? Thanks! ]]>
