    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 18746<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 17&nbsp;March&nbsp;2006 at 2:27pm<br /><br />I have been through and spent the last 2 hours doing some final testing for version 8 thoroughly in all popular browsers on the Mac including:-<br><br>Safari<br>Firefox<br>IE 5.2<br><br>So far all tests have been fine and uploading files and images with long names works fine as well as linking to images and files with long names.<br><br>By the way IE is no-longer available for the MAC as Microsoft have withdrawn it and it is no-longer available to download, instaed Micrososft recommend that you use Safari.<br><br>At the moment the RTE WYSIWYG editor doesn't work in Safari as Apple have not yet introduced an RTE API for it, so Safari users will have to use a standard textarea. However, word from the Safari camp suggests that upcoming versions will have support for RTE.<br><br>Firefox on the MAC does have an RTE API so is supported by the WYSIWYG Editor in web wiz forums.<br><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by -boRg- - 17&nbsp;March&nbsp;2006 at 2:28pm</span>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 18746<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 17&nbsp;March&nbsp;2006 at 12:07pm<br /><br />According to Mac users this issue has been sorted in version 7.9 and above, but I have not tested this myself.<br><br>However, version 8 has been fully tested on the MAC using the latest OSX Tiger OS in Safari, Firefox, and IE, as I was given an old MAC G4 about a month ago for testing on.<br><br>Version 8 Release Candidate 1 will be released next Tuesday, the 21st March.<br><br>Once the full version is released at Easter, I will be asking all users to upgrade to it as version 7.x will no-longer be supported as upgrades are free.<br><br>The new version will also increase performance and database hits by over 2000% in most cases and also add 100's of new features, including, sub forums, XML RSS Feeds, better security and login system, admin/moderator post approval, improved RTE for posting, faster browser loading and rendering times, full CSS support, simpler to skin, and many more features.<br>]]>

It forcedc4dportal to abandon Web Wiz in the end and move to vbulletin.<br><br>Upload an image with a long name using mac. <br>The wysiwyg editorlinks the image perfectly after uploading, however once posted it willput either a space in the image link or it will break up the link intotwo parts resulting in a </font><font color="#0033ff">red x ;)<br><br>It happened with both internet explorer for mac&nbsp;and firefox.</font><br><br><br>Was this still an issue with Webwiz Forum 7.92?&nbsp; I'm using thatversion and wouldn't want Mac users complaining about imageuploads.&nbsp; It would be a hassle to upgrade to the newest versionunless there was no fix to the bug.&nbsp; To be honest, the guy whoposted this didn't try it out, and I don't have a Mac handy right aboutnow.<br>]]>
