Looks like the version of mySQL you are using has an issue with the query being used.

Try changing the SQL query at line 285 of the file default.asp to the following:-

    strSQL = "SELECT Count(" & strDbTable & "Author.Author_ID) AS memberCount " & _
    "FROM " & strDbTable & "Author;"
