yeah, thats what i was thinking borg...guess i may just have to make my own tool..can't seem to find much online
 
the only thing that stinks is its just my tblthread table...the others i can export fine. Oh well,...wish me luck

To be honest this isn't a surprise with GoDaddy, from feedback I'm getting GoDaddy sucks as a web host and one to stay well clear of.

There is an upgrade tool to upgrade the database to version 8, but as far as moving the database, unless you can find a tool on the Internet to do it you are stuck with doing it GoDaddy's way.

If they allowed you to use Enterprise Manager it would avoid the whole problem.

Borg since your an f'n genious maybe you could help me. I have my 7.x version of the forum on a "GoDaddy" ms sql server. They do not let you use "Enterprise Manager" to get to your DB you have to use their control panel. Well my problem is this. i cannot back up my database. They have an export tool to export it to csv but it times out, and i get a 404 page every time on my tblThread table.
 
I recently bought another webspace w/ms sql and i was wondering if you knew of a way to copy the tables, using asp or something, from my 7.x to 8.x?
 
I have contacted godaddy about this issue and they keep telling me to do it their way, and i say "it times out" and they say "we will escalade this" but i never hear anything again...
