No changing this will not make a difference.

Is it just some users who get logged out or all users?

Also make sure that these users can use cookies on their browser, if they see SID= then a long number in the URL when accessing the forum then cookies are not working on their browser.

What does this do please, as I have some people who get logged out after a certain amount of time - Is it this ?
