This type of alteration is not built into version 7.x and you will get issues like you mention.

During the re-write for version 8 this type of functionality was built into the software.

You would need to upgrade to version 8 inorder to have this functionality work correctly.

Version 8 has also been re-written to integrate into a site more easily so you may find it simpler than you think upgrading to version 8.

I have changed the order of the post on the forum to now have the newest post show first, but the problem that I am now having is that when replying to a post/or posting in the forum, the page refreshes to the last page for posting.  After posting, the page stays on the oldest page (oldest posts).  I changed the order on the forum_post.asp to DESC instead of ASC.  Other than that I have no clue as to how to fix this new issue.  Any help is much appreciated.

P.S.  I would update to Ver. 8, but the site is so intertwined that it would take me months before I can get it to function correctly.
