    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=1">WebWiz-Bruce</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 20676<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 14&nbsp;July&nbsp;2006 at 11:44am<br /><br />When displayed as HTML in the a browser it is automatically displayed as normal text by the browser has it is HTML encoding which prevent XSS Hacking when displayed in a browser.<br><br>In version 7 the encoding was done on the way into the database, in version 8 to improve searching it is now only done when displayed in a browser.<br><br>This may mean that some older topics will display incorrectly in emails, but this should clear up as new topics don't use this.<br><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by -boRg- - 14&nbsp;July&nbsp;2006 at 11:44am</span>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forums.webwiz.net/member_profile.asp?PF=23591">jckruger</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 20676<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 14&nbsp;July&nbsp;2006 at 6:04am<br /><br />I have noticed a few entries in my database tblTopic table&nbsp;that are showing like this: <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Central Coast (ARF C&amp;#111;ntact Available to H</DIV><DIV>that should be</DIV><DIV>Central Coast (ARF Contact Available to H</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Another being</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Bindi&amp;#039;s puppies</DIV><DIV>that should be</DIV><DIV>Bindi's puppies</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>It seems to only be affecting the letter (o) and the symbol (') so far </DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>They seem to show up fine on the forum but when someone is subscribed to the topic, the email is sent out with the subject like this</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>My forum name : Bindi&amp;#039;s puppies.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Is my database corupt? I compact it fairly often.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>I only have 27 members and over tghe last 3 - 4 months only have 300 or so posts so it is not being overworked.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>I have the ritch text editor turned on also.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>My members use IE, Firefox and some are also MAC users.
